Morton College was established in 1924, making it the second oldest 'community' college in the state of Illinois.

The Foundation grew out of the original 'MC Endowment Fund' serving Illinois College District #527. 

The residents, businesses, and community organizations of Berwyn, Cicero, Forest View, Lyons, McCook, and Stickney, have long enjoyed a rich and proud history where diverse immigrant populations educated themselves and worked toward realizing the "American Dream."
